What We Do

Every child has God-given potential. Through local churches, we protect children, lead them to Christ, and disciple them for life—growing churches and transforming nations, one child at a time.

1

Step 1: Team

Local Team

We train thinkSMALL local teams to train and mobilize local churches in their own country, language, and culture. Local leaders reach local children best. Today, we train and support over 40 local ministry teams in over 20 nations.

Step 2: Church

Train Local Churches

Our thinkSMALL Teams train church leaders, teachers, and parents to protect children from abuse, exploitation, and trafficking, and to reach them for Christ. We train three workshops for adults.

God’s Mandate to Protect His Children: What Scripture says about protecting children, and how to live it out.

The Biblical Rights of Children: Help your church understand and adopt a child protection charter.

Writing a Church Child Protection Policy: We help churches write a policy and appoint a Child Protection Officer.

3

Step 3: Community

Protect Children and Lead Them to Christ

Combining FUN with serious topics!

Together, thinkSMALL and church teams reach children with interactive outreaches that address real risks in their own communities, and every outreach shares the Gospel.

Ages 4–6: Learning to Stay Safe

Body safety, recognizing unsafe behavior, getting away, and telling a trusted adult.

Ages 7–14: Recognizing and Resisting Danger

  • Trafficking: Spot the warning signs and get help.
  • Abuse: Body safety, including online, and to keep asking for help until someone listens.
  • Drugs: Understand local dangers and how to say no.
  • Internet Safety: Stay safe online and know when to tell a trusted adult.

Children meet the church Child Protection Officer and learn how to contact them.

Christmas and Easter Outreaches: Games, object lessons, and an animated film share Jesus’ birth and resurrection, as churches bring hope beyond their walls.

At every outreach, children meet Jesus, the most trustworthy person of all, and are invited to receive Him as Savior.

Step 4: Follow Up

Welcome New Believers

Within 48 hours, church teams follow up with every new believer through thinkSMALL Cinema, an animated Bible film series with games, music, snacks, and prizes, where children take their first steps of faith.

The thinkSMALL Team accompanies the church team (usually the Youth Team) for the first Cinema. After that, the church hosts the events.

Step 5: Discipleship

Disciple Children for Life

thinkSMALL offers Children’s Discipleship Curricula in the local language. In the local church, new believers grow through more than two years of children’s discipleship, rooted in God’s Word and their local church.

  • New Believer’s Curriculum: A first understanding of God and His Son, the start of a lifelong relationship with Christ.
  • Year One Children’s Discipleship Curriculum: Who we are, who God is, and what it means to truly know Him.
  • Year Two Children’s Discipleship Curriculum: A second year of lessons that deepens children’s relationship with Jesus and grows them as young leaders for Christ.
  • Friends From the Heart (Specialty Curriculum): Children learn how Jesus loved, served, and honored His friends, and how to become “Jesus-style friends” at school, at home, and at church.

Every curriculum includes teacher training, lessons, activities, memory verses, and small-group materials.

Sunday School Teachers Training: Equip teachers to effectively disciple children and use our lesson-by-lesson curriculum.
